You Invent - We Document: General Terms for Co-operative Publications

This document briefly describes the general terms regarding agreements for the co-operative publication of a work as book between cefischer verlag and a co-operative parnter. These terms should be treated as guiding principles, only.

We provide enterprises and other organizations (in the following referred to as cooperative partner) with the possibility to publish information related to their products and procedures they intend to make freely accessible (in the following the work) in the sphere of our publishing programme. The cooperative partner makes a one-off contribution with regards to the production expense of the first edition of the work. The cooperative partner is a coproducer, not a copublisher.

If the cooperative partner also is the creator of the work, we usually draft a customized contract of publication coupled with the co-operative agreement. Royalties paid to the cooperative partner/ creator of the work are then subject to both agreements. If the cooperative partner is not the creator of the work, we usually enter into contracts of publication with the creator/s of the work and, in that context, no publication rights are assigned to the cooperative partner.

The cooperative partner is always granted 50% of our net proceeds as they result from every sold copy of the work and through the exploitation of ancillary rights (if included in the contract of publication with the creator/s of the work). The share of proceeds is granted unlimited in time.

Co-operative publications require a solid contractual base which is subject to customized tailoring. Please contact us for further information.
