Contribution Free Publication: For the Freedom of the Author!

Books have different origins. Mainly, it is a free author who writes it and has the intention to make it available to the public under his own name. This is where vanity publishers take their chance by offering authors the publication of their work as long as those make – in many cases very high – financial contributions to the poject. Simply resulting – in as many cases – in privishing in its most negative extent, we believe that such offering reflects a business practice quite questionable.

Any publishing project comes along with its own risk. Proceeds are sometimes marginal whereas cost coverage is always necessary. Regardless, the often tedious tightrope walk between practicability and impracticability of proper book project realization must remain in the sphere of the publisher. The author already has invested a considerably amount of time and great effort in the book long before we consider its publication. He must therefore ideally and economically benefit from his work starting with the very first copy sold. We ensure this desideratum with specially tailored contracts of publication.

Authors publishing their works with us can rest assured that, in no event, they are faced with any kind of financial contribution. This is true for both, discrete works as those where several authors contribute to whereas we – by ourselves or together with co-operative partners – are editors.

This way we keep protected what is most desirable to authors: the possibility to work freely. Not only this is some ideal value of the publisher's business philosophy but also has conducive effects on the contentual quality of a work that is, its substance.
